2016 – Where the story began!
From where we started to where we are, I canât believe how much life and love weâve squeezed into just one decade.
Itâs amazing how someone supports your travel bug even when they have their own phobias for some. Like the way you encouraged me to cliff dive while in Milos, Greece, plunging into -2°C water in Iceland to touch the tectonic plates of 2 continents or diving into Pacific Ocean with me just to reach an Island beach right in the middle of Ocean; Yes, youâve had my back for all.
Youâve definitely seen me at my worst and best on all the travels.
People dream about the perfect big wedding and things followed by. But I was glad I found someone who thought just like me and settled for a small close-knit wedding, which definitely was a dream come true and plan the biggest travel of our life instead.
10 years to this! – 5th March 2016
When we started out in 2016 for our longest travel so far we had NO idea that our first trip was going to be the start of our travel life. Never could we have guessed that ten years later, we would have spent one quarter of our marriage on the move, on the road, on the beach, mountains, oceans and everywhere else. Yes building home and memories in all the places we went to!
Who imaged a travel lasting 40 days! Yes thats the longest we have been together like 24/7 literally for so long.
And thats how we walk into our 10th year! 10 years 10 countries and countless memories!
2016 – USA- HAWAII-MEXICO-CRUISE
Exploring the West coast of USA and then flying to dream island of Hawaii.
Getting Married again in Hawaiian style, Visiting Pearl Harbour and meeting their only survior there!
Exploring one of the 7 Wonders of the world and swimming in Pacific Ocean to reach his hidden beach in Mexico!
Embarking on the biggest cruise ship and exploring Bahamas and British Virgin Islands.

Celebrating our 1st Anniversary in a royal way!

Wakes you up at 4 am to climb a 5300m volcanic mountain with the most surreal moonscapes ( how many alarms did we keep for this one in Hawaii)
Goes to the back of beyond on the way to a World Wonder to find you the tastiest seasoned sweet spicy mangoes ( on the way to Chichen Itza,Mexico remember?)
Encourages you to get into the freezing water at Silfra dive, because life is too short not to. ( Getting into the dive suit was the funniest back story Iceland, Silfra dive)
Plays the crappiest 90s Bollywood music on repeat even while driving the most Hi-Tec Tesla on unending but scenic road journey ( Lake Tahoe drive )
But above all reminds you not to see the world in black and white, because we all have shades of grey, believes me when I say that the money we earn isn’t for luxuries; but spend it on experiences, and making memories.
The best part is we donât just get to grow old together. We get to grow up together. And thatâs the real adventure. I am just glad we got to create a family and continue the adventure with your mini version instead of taking a pause and not giving up on the dreams. Itâs all been about raising the family weâve wanted and not loose ourselves.
10 Years, 2 Hearts… but 1 Promise remains the same… Our adventure! Here’s to a Perfect 10 with you!

On our 2nd Anniversary everyday reminds me of the beautiful day when we said “I DO”
You knew me since the time I was a part of a totally different world, in fact even if it meant living across the world. Yes you knew what my day and night was made of, you exactly knew how much my little feet kept exploring the globe. I may have already explored 1/10th of the world by myself or with friends or even with some random people, but you need to know that I want all of this with you now.
The moment we decided to take the new plunge of our lives, yes it did drive me a little crazy. Having a steady and stable future doesnât mean I am ready to let go of my this wanderlust and doesnât mean any less that I donât want this settled life with you, but steady for you and me is different.
The definition of home for me is not where you and I are from, but where you are wanted. And thereâs nothing much more I want than YOU today.
Iâve lived and seen the life enfold in foreign lands, lived among people from different nationalities and enjoyed drinks of various countries all on one table. But today I look forward for that morning coffee dates with you! (Though wouldnât mind waking up to a cup of coffee in a different place, city or country everyday thought with you! J)

I have always been the kind of girl whoâs had Atlas in her hands, adventure in her eyes, and wanderlust in her blood. Travelling has given me a home in a thousand strange places, but also left me feel like a stranger in my own land. At times I wandered aimless simply to be some place âelsewhereâ. But I want our travels now to be more purposeful and meaningful than ever. I want us to build memories and stories that we can laugh about when we get old, just how I nag you with all my stories from the last 2 decades of travel. These stories are filled with me and lots of random people, but now I want to write new stories, rewrite some old ones all with you being right there. I want you to be the poetry hidden within the binary of my travels.
My never ending stories!
Yes I do have a long list of places, places yet to be explored, places I still havenât been to or yearning to go so bad! And I want to make all these new adventures with you, exploring the places, exploring the person in you. I also want to take you back to some places which are so close to my heart, to show you how they meant the world to me because after hearing all my stories about it I know you wonât see it as just another place in this world, but see another world inside each of these places I take you to.
To the place I always want to be!
There will be some adventures where I would have to take off on my own and would want you to let me do that in a heartbeat because its only you who understands how it makes my heart beat. And I promise you Iâll be back with abundance of stories and adventures to talk laugh and reminisce about to make up for the lost time with you.
And yes I will take millions of pictures to show you each and every detail of the place because you couldnât go or make it (though youâll always be my favorite photographer).

You know Iâd always want you to be by my side, because I know you have seen me get excited about the change of seasons, the sound of the ocean, watching the sunset, the first snow, the smell of rain and starry nights, everything little. Because its only you, who knows they arenât that little for me.

At times I can also be supper annoying asking you to take 100 (or mebbe 1000âs ) of pictures of me, of us in the same city or even the same street until they are perfectly captured. For the fact I already know you are onto it, and that your photo skills have already leveled up. One of the good things that already happened to you being with me (you can thank me later for this).
Because one good pi is jus not enough
Thereâs always going to be a morning inside me waiting to burst into light. Waiting to hear new sounds of nature, chat with new people. And you already know it by my crazy bunch of friends across the globe. Thatâs another thing you should be happy about, having a home far away from home wherever we go. Yes you name a country and with knowing someone there, you are always going to feel locally welcomed by my friends from across the globe. Thatâs why we are never going to be alone.
Yes I have made some funny, strange and very close friendships across the globe but I still canât explain what you see in a person that they become so important part of your life. Itâs just the way they take you to a place where no one else can, just like you do.
I have worked my career out of so many things and finally found some solace in this little globetrotting thing I do. We may talk about those random thoughts of finding our own path in this world, but for me its always going to be about loosing my way, and finding my soul. Working a 9-5 routine life has had never been my style, although I think I am coping up well with it now.
There are a lot of stories out there waiting for me to live them, and I am afraid they will take may be a lot more time for me now to get to them. Travel may not be my number one thing anymore, but I know itâll always be there. Iâll still want those âanniversary tripsâ or âbirthday tripsâ and I wouldnât mind planning one for you as well.(as far as they just end in trips)

And even if you had to plan a surprise trip, I am sure to surprise you with much more crazier facts and places about that destination. Well youâll always be the one whoâs going to be more surprised. There might be some places we might never make it to, or may be we will. But at least our room will be full of travel boards, places, lists and trips that we would want to make or have made. Our laptop will be full of saved travel links and shows or any related random travel movie. You definitely will have to make a little more space for the Globe thatâs been the world to me on your desk.

Our desk will be filed with my travel journals, maps, tickets which I have saved as souvenirs, reminding me of the days when my only decision was Window or Aisle.
I know the only topic I would have to talk about with you would be about TRAVEL. But I assure you it wonât bring boredom. In fact between the two us I will never run out of topics, stories to talk. And can spend hours, days may be even weeks, even if we get stranded on a ship somewhere in between the ocean. OK that wonât really happen (However I so wish it does someday, another adventure right?). But at least Iâll be awesome at the geography or travel section of any quiz or family conversations. Donât worry I will always make you proud. I will always be the exclamation mark in the happiest sentence that you could ever possibly wish or say. You must have read all about the wonders of the world but I will make sure we see all of them in this very lifetime ( 4 down, 3 to go YAYYYY)
Could I qualify for the 8th?
I know you have some phobias about water, about heights, about speed, about adventure, did I miss anything đ But Iâll make sure you come over them one by one every year. I guess you made it through one last year, right? Swimming in Pacific Ocean, ring a bell? I know it must have been frightening at first but I too have been as afraid and as excited for every new beginning we might have.
Still wanna take a dip in the ocean?
Some nights I might dream of traveling the world, some nights I might dream of traveling away from it. My inquisitiveness and longing is something you can never get enough of. Yes just before bed you will see me scrolling through my Instagram feeds getting tired of me saying, âOMg! This Place, yes lets go hereâ or may be âWe should be here right now!â May be you already are. But I am up for other things too. Like you mention something and within minutes I would have a Wikipedia on it. You should know that the same passion I have for travel will be strong enough for other aspects of our lives.
Thought my life consists of traveling and then counting down the hours until I can travel again, there a lot more to it between that too.
There might me decades together when nothing really happens, but I am sure to bring such adventurous filled weeks where you might feel decades have happen. I already am onto it.
Yes I have always cared more about experiences in life and thatâs going to be a great benefit to you, because you would not need to gift me luxurious expensive presents. Rather maybe just plan a little weekend date, a ticket to a concert, or a new eatery that opened up to try something new, or just a random long drive in the rains by the mountain side. Of course, Iâll always accept a âtripâ as a present! Need not always be a luxury one! (But last night surfing randomly, I saw this amazing infinity pool villa, with see-through roof and a private speedboat parked right next to this stunning villa in Maldives! We should go there too. OK, just saying!)
There are quite less similarities between us when it comes to choices, wants and priorities. But weâll face them together. We will travel, we will go places together and come back home, and home may still be the same. But something is us, something in you and I will have changed. Our lives will change and with time and with luck our little family will expand, but that wonât change us, itâll just mean more adventures everyday to come.
So Yes I want to share my life, my passion with you, because itâs in you where I see my home and my adventure all at once!

Each year brings different kind of travels and more stories of being on the road for me. And the zest of going to places in 2016 was an eye opener in many ways.
To me, it isnât a vacation if there isnât a beach, a sun kissed sky, open waters or nail-biting adventures. Little did I know that all this was about to change with just a âClickâ. Yes the click you hear when your heart skips a beat, or your eyes roll out being awe-struck with nature, or simply the click of your camera lens.
When was the last time that you packed the most important thing or possession for your trip and it landed up becoming your most significant memory of the trip? Really like how can a pair of awesome shoes, or that handy backpack help you write stories? Its never things, you can never attach memories and stories to things but only to what you have felt. What you feel because of people and with people!
As a traveler taking the right pictures, capturing the memories in the perfect frame is as important as taking the right roads. And when you are juggling between what lens or camera to carry for your trip most of the times it leaves you in a dilemma. You plan your camera depending on the destinations right?
If you are off for an adventure trip you wouldnât plan to take a delicate camera as it might just get damaged during one of the sports.
Similarly when planning a water destination like a beach or island, you would like to take all precautions for making your camera waterproof where you donât have to worry about salt and sand left behind in your lens. Then there are some destinations and places you plan where you want to pack light and carry light. In those trips your heavy DSLR definitely doesnât make it to the bag pack. And in todayâs world of selfies you definitely cant think of mounting them to your selfie stick for sure!
When I first curated my bucket list of countries that I wanted to explore in this lifetime, little did I know that I would be able to tick off 25 countries and 4 continents in just few years.
When I stepped onto my first journey I knew the next few years were going to be radically diverse from the last 20. And since then there was no looking back. Just how even today closer to each weekend my hunt for a new place begins, how I resort to Google about offbeat ideas and destinations.
The world suddenly started feeling as small as my bucket list with each destination filling in soon. All I knew was to keep the fire in me alive, because thereâs something liberating about scanning a world map and picking where the next expedition can take you.

Between travelling halfway across the globe and moving back to life, I did get a realty check about how I needed to keep this fervor going. When you have traveled far away and seen the world from the other side too, you know life is never the same. My adventures have taught me a lot, how much little it takes to be happy, how to survive in places and situation, how some travels change you forever. When you travel outside your terrain and region you realize that many things just can’t be learnt at home, at work or in a daily routine. You just know you are made for unearthing travel secrets that conceal themselves in this enormous world.
My bucket list bought me to take up travel blogging and take my fondness for offbeat travel experiences to another level. Fulfilling the prominence of waking up to a new sunrise everyday and sleeping to one. A dream that started in my early 20âs to foldaway the world is still in the making and yes the best decision I have taken to accomplish it in this lifetime.
