Only Maui knows… What an island life can do to your soul!

Those of you who have been around for a while following my blog would be able to guess what island life can do to my soul! It brings me back to life at times when I need it the most. And once I leave from that place, you would only see me scheming how to get back there. Amidst this, Hawaii surely occupies a permanent corner in the back of my heart and mind, it’s not exactly the kind of place you can just, like, pop over to, you know?

Hawaii: The destination that put ‘Lust’ in my wanderlust dream!

Every time I hear the name Hawaii, ‘Tropical Paradise’ is the only word and visual that evokes inside me. Especially as I was looking at planning a honeymoon trip to the lovely Hawaiian islands, 8 of them each having something special to offer. When I was planning my visit to these heavenly islands it was so difficult to choose from which islands to visit. Surfing on Oahu, to the wonders of Maui, to the beauty of Honolulu, or explore the hidden wonders on Lanai. Continue reading “Hawaii: The destination that put ‘Lust’ in my wanderlust dream!”

Are you a die-hard fan of Pearl Harbor movie? Then tick this off your list!

Hawaii is known as the land of beaches, romantic havens and never setting sunsets but as usual my incurious soul chose an offbeat tour that I believe is what makes Hawaii so historic and important. The history of World War II is written not just in words, but also in places and destinations. And that’s where some stories unfold about history. Continue reading “Are you a die-hard fan of Pearl Harbor movie? Then tick this off your list!”

San Francisco – The Bay City where even the Hills Rhyme!

What I love most about some of my travels is the way a destination, a city falls in the itinerary enroute. Just the same way San Francisco became a part of my trip on the way to the Hawaiian Islands. A quick 3 days getaway to “City by the Bay” was on my mind. And even before setting foot in the city of San Francisco I knew there was so much more the city had to offer than just cool weather and the Golden Gate! Making through the 19 hrs. long flight I was all excited and ready to explore the city built on 43 hills within a 7 by 7 mile radius fringing the Pacific Ocean.

Why a GoPro is a must in every photographers bag!

As a traveler taking the right pictures, capturing the memories in the perfect frame is as important as taking the right roads. And when you are juggling between what lens or camera to carry for your trip most of the times it leaves you in a dilemma. You plan your camera depending on the destinations right?

If you are off for an adventure trip you wouldn’t plan to take a delicate camera as it might just get damaged during one of the sports.

Similarly when planning a water destination like a beach or island, you would like to take all precautions for making your camera waterproof where you don’t have to worry about salt and sand left behind in your lens. Then there are some destinations and places you plan where you want to pack light and carry light. In those trips your heavy DSLR definitely doesn’t make it to the bag pack. And in today’s world of selfies you definitely cant think of mounting them to your selfie stick for sure!

A Bucket List To Your Dream!

When I first curated my bucket list of countries that I wanted to explore in this lifetime, little did I know that I would be able to tick off 25 countries and 4 continents in just few years.
When I stepped onto my first journey I knew the next few years were going to be radically diverse from the last 20. And since then there was no looking back. Just how even today closer to each weekend my hunt for a new place begins, how I resort to Google about offbeat ideas and destinations.

The world suddenly started feeling as small as my bucket list with each destination filling in soon. All I knew was to keep the fire in me alive, because there’s something liberating about scanning a world map and picking where the next expedition can take you.

“My Bucket list has got my wanderlust soul to be on the road 365 Days, either through my travels or either through my words.”

Between travelling halfway across the globe and moving back to life, I did get a realty check about how I needed to keep this fervor going. When you have traveled far away and seen the world from the other side too, you know life is never the same. My adventures have taught me a lot, how much little it takes to be happy, how to survive in places and situation, how some travels change you forever. When you travel outside your terrain and region you realize that many things just can’t be learnt at home, at work or in a daily routine. You just know you are made for unearthing travel secrets that conceal themselves in this enormous world.

My bucket list bought me to take up travel blogging and take my fondness for offbeat travel experiences to another level. Fulfilling the prominence of waking up to a new sunrise everyday and sleeping to one. A dream that started in my early 20’s to foldaway the world is still in the making and yes the best decision I have taken to accomplish it in this lifetime.

Surviving the World’s Largest Ice Caves: Werfen Eisriesenwelt

During my endeavors in the Austrian capital something exciting and something offbeat was what I was looking for. That’s when I came across the frozen subterranean world of Werfen, Eisriesenwelt. Perched high above the tiny hamlet of Werfen, a must do day trip when in Salzburg. However I chose to see this manifesto a bit differently. I made way to the beautiful city of Zell Am See for a 2-day spree. Already falling in love with this lakeside town I was lucky enough to be here on their local festival occasion. This lakeside town stunned me with its picturesque landscapes and the festive feel during sundowners.

All that glitters is not always gold here but SWAROVSKI : Innsbruck

When you are caught in between the beer fests of Germany and the wine tasting spree of Italy, little would you think about taking a day off and visiting a new country residing right by their neighborhood. And when you do, Innsbruck should definitely be on your cards. A mountain town tucked away in west region of Austria definitely did surprise me. When Oktoberfest calls you, make your way to Munich right away!

Having guarded my soul in the city life for over 6-7 months my wanderlust self was itching for some escapade, some thrill. And when I started looking up for my next destination, right in the season, was Oktoberfest calling everywhere.

And that was definitely one thing on my list to tick off and what best when you are so frenzied with your 6 months round the clock work routine.
